1969 GTO 400 with unknown manual trans.
I can barely get a business card between the front u-joint and body. Engine looks to be tipped forward slightly.

1. Why does the bell housing have a starter opening on both sides?
2. What type trans do i have? Has a tall 1st gear.
3. Is this the correct cross member and trans mount? Rubber part of trans mount is about 1 1/4" thick. Cross member is connected to frame with factory looking rubber insulators.

Help Appreciated!
