So the actual cable is leaking about three inches from where it goes into the transmission, which is weird, but I can see it leaking out of there...drip, drip, drip.

How hard is this to replace the kickdown cable on a Th350 with headers in your own driveway?

It looks like I just have to clean the area, loosen a bolt, pull it out, and put it another one. Is that it?

You will have to remove the pan to hook the cable to the throttle valve.

The Dip stick tube and the selector shaft seal are common leak arias. Both points will look like a trans pan leak.

the kick down cable is adjusted by the length of the cable housing. Make the housing longer by depressing the metal button. Attach all cables, Then mash the gas pedal to floor and the trans cable housing will adjust it's self to the proper length.
Double check accelerator cable for full throttle opening before adjusting trans cable.
