Looking for anyone out there who may have a 65'-66' big car with one of the 3 speed manual Dearborn set ups. Trying to figure out how to get a pict of the linkage set up and shifter type. Any help would be greatly appreciated. No Picts on Internet that I can find. No articles anywhere. Rare as hens teeth. Uggh.

I never saw one, but reading i see they're a top loader, but still shifted with ears from the side like a side loader? Below is some valuable info (looks like service book pages from pontiac.)

If it's like any standard sideloader, get a hurst shifter, and make your own linkages if no one makes an install kit. I did that twice for NP440s and both shifted great. On my truck it turns out that just tweaking a muncie rod set got everything right where i wanted it. Maybe you can adapt an existing three speed linkage set.

Wikipedia has a good shot of 4 speed linkage:

The only problem is the 3 speed big car shifter along with being the ford trans is hyper rare. Hurst says they have one that will fit but I've contacted a few old timers and they say hurst claims are incorrect. Customer service at hurst is horrible. les Kasten of pontiac paradise has lent me some advice and other connections and is willing to try to help me get this thing sorted out. He said it aint gonna be easy no matter how I approach it. Just a rare set up.
