12 bolt rear with yukon axles, factory c clip hold up for some 1.60 60ft, maybe once a month. Heard axle are what breaks CAR MIGHT RUN 11.80S AT BEST

If you are going to race the car, invest in a set of good axles and c clip eliminators. Once a month over time will stress the parts and it's cheaper to spend the money now, then have to spend money later because your c clip axle breaks and some racer is pissed off because his race car has a smashed 1/4 panel. I've seen it happen

Right turn Clyde.

Over sized sticky tires and high torque engines are hard on drive train components. Duh.

Breakage normally occurs at the start line and at low MPH. Or on a shift. But still happens to quick to keep you out of the wall.

Beefing up a 10 or 12 bolt with a gear change may come close too the price of Moser 9" built to fit your car. IF you get serious at the drag strip.

thanks, but rear has yukun axles in it now maybe low 12 to high 11, at best stock 455 with 041 cam , maybe strip 0nce a month, but i hear the axles break at taper never at c-clip

Thing is, c-clip axle breakage almost always turns into a dangerous situation as the wheel will be "ejected" with the broken axle. Now convert to Strange axles with flanged retention and not only is a dangerous situation eliminated, but breakage is also less likely.
