Legally (NHRA) or in general for your safety? I think you are good to 10.99. I have the same rear in my GTO (12 bolt with yukon axles). I am running 11.9s and hoping to drop it down lower.

I think you are legal, but if you want to get some type of axle retention just in case, it's good insurance.

Hey Ron,

I am running high 1.7s with a 4 speed setup. I am using a 9" wide Mickey Thompson ET Street Bias Ply on my car. No C-Clip eliminators.

3.90 gears, wide ratio (2.52:1) first gear, 435 ft-lbs of torque @ 3500 rpm at the rear wheels. I launch between 3500-4000 rpm.

I don't hook great, but decent.

I think if you are worried OR plan to put more power through that rear OR go faster, the C-Clip eliminators won't be a bad thing.

Are you using a stock carrier or aftermarket?

Hi Ron,

I would get out there and see what it will do. I think you are safe with that rear anywhere in the 11s. Post some videos if you can!
