Can anyone offer an opinion on Tri-power versus a 4 barrel. Is there a benefit or significant downside to the Tri-power?
Thanks

It looks nicer, that's for sure. That's about it for "advantage". Significant downside is cost if you don't already have a tripower setup. Hood clearance can be an issue too depending upon what vehicle your intending to use it. Manifold choices are about 2. OEM boat anchor heavy cast iron and aftermarket aluminum.

Bowties are for Pee-wee Herman. "Chevy": even the name sounds cheap, but not as cheap as your Pontiac will be with an LS transplant.

the tripower I believe had a advantage over the 59-64 pontiac factory flat 4 bbl intakes and carb. When they went to the taller single 4 and the QJs they are not as good HP wise.Eye candy and sound wise still have a big advantage IMO.Tom
