I want to check torque settings on my factory cast iron manifold. Should I check these with the engine hot or cold?

I would just have to take a guess that all torque specs are listed assuming engine is cold(unless stated otherwise), since most engines are assembled while bolted to an engine stand. But if I'm wrong, it won't be the 1st time.

Not all sites always agree on specs. Here's the links to 4 sites.

BigD & B&P,

Thanks for the link & info. It was a good thing I rechecked torque on each intake bolt. Each bolt was 5 or more lb\ft below spec. of 40. I will set them again to 40 cold then go through some more engine hot cold cycles to see if they hold torque.
