We have a local show every April here in north LA, just south of I-20. We have a few cars that make some of the local shows, which may be of interest to some of you guys. I took the following pics at our home town show. I'll let ya'll figure out what this 1st car is. Here's a hint: it has a '70's motor, with 4x heads. LOL

Of course, the musclecar was born in the '60's. So here's 3 nice ones from that decade. The '64 won this show.

To me, no show is quite complete without my favorite bird, the '68. This one was restored by my neighbor and former school mate. He drives it to work sometimes. It ain't no trailer queen. He enjoys it !

Nothing represents the decade of the '70's any more than a '77 Bandit. This one is a survivor. The original owner drove one of my bracket cars. Some days he would drive the Bandit out to my shop, work on the racer, then go back into town and cruise the streets.

As we know, the Pontiac V8 took its last small gasp of air thru the little 301 back in '81. Here's a super low milage original, 4-speed, 301 TA. The guy that ordered it new, also now owns the '77 bandit above. Don't believe the 6.6 decal. I don't think the original 301 has ever been out of the car. That's something guys like me would do.

Hey, since this is the show section, I might as well post some more show car pics.

Here's the '69 "Red Bird"--455, E-heads, solid roller, 4-speed.

The Firebird emblem got broke in a fender bender back in the '70's. He liked it so much, he's kept it with just the "bird" part on the car ever since.

Sometimes you just have to start from scratch. Some of these old restorations require a lot of hard work.

The show is over, so it's time to fire 'em up and head toward the cruise-in at McDonalds, about 50 miles away--a real nice ride in a car like these !

And the "Big Cat" slinks back out to prowl the streets. It was a great day of musclecars and rockin oldies, blasting out over the PA system.
