There is a 76 GP in my aria for sale. kind of a creamy yellow with a plush light brown interior. Looks good on walk around. and does run. I will check with the seller if anyone is interested.

I love these boats.I had a black 76' SJ with a 455 after I sold my 66' GTO back in my highschool days.
I found another spotless black 76' a year or two ago and figured it would make a nice car for my wife. I showed her a pic and she HATED it.
She said the GP's look like the ghetto sleds they put the 24" wheels on. She wants a Chevelle. I still would love to find another 76' like I had,but I'm not selling my GTO to get one.

This one has the 15' rally 2's. With a front end only a mother could love. Does the 76 455 have the skinny mains or is that only the 400's

i think that was only the 400s. Mr pbody told me a 455 is a 455, if i recall the conversation correctly. (excluding SD's of course.)

Blocks are different. Thinner webbing. Block has less material and is lighter. Check Jim Hands book.

I just thumbed through the book and only saw mention of the different 400s (page 22). Pretty sure that the 455s remained the same.

It is a SJ GP. I'll get that Phone # today. Mabey i can pic it up cheap. I looked on ebay, those cars dont bring much money. But the 68 land yacht gp brings big money. Always loved those big cars with fender skirts.

I forget the exact difference between the J,SJ an LJ. (besides Sport and Luxury obviously) But my SJ was loaded. Factory tach, huge sway bars, power everything. I think the only option mine didn't have was T-tops. Car moved pretty good too with the 455. I had a 73' J with a 400,4bbl,and dual exhaust before this one,and that got me hooked on the GP's.
I'd still like to find one someday as the ride is great,as long as you don't want to turn sharp.

You're killing me. I hope somebody buys this before some young guy puts 24" rims on it!
I'm flat broke, and like I said above my wife hates these cars. My next car has to be something she can drive.

Probably a 400 GP.

Bowties are for Pee-wee Herman. "Chevy": even the name sounds cheap, but not as cheap as your Pontiac will be with an LS transplant.

By the way, I have both a 71 and a 76 455 and the only differences I have seen is the 71 had an 'N' cast into the crank and was drilled for 4 bolt mains.

I don't think it's B&P's car. He said it's close to him.
I like these cars, they ride like a dream. Not my favorite color though.

Yes drake, the yellow would look better waxed, but IMO silver or roman red would be stunning.

I checked out and drove the G/P today.

Good points:
Non smoker car.
Drive's and handles great. Big car feal. Like on a cloud.
Stop's great. full pedal. only light effort to stop the vehical.
Body, hard to find a door ding.
Paint fadded but good, Some flaking in the door jams.
Interior great shape. No key marks on column around lock cylinder.
28K miles.
Tall Highway gear.

Bad Points:
350 4blr single exhaust Olds engine.
Runs like a slug
accelerator pump need help.
singal hump trans crossmember.
All California emissions in tact.
ticking exhaust leak.
Paint flaking with light rust spots on top of core support.

Over all:
Would be a good, clean daily driver.

I took a few more pic's then battery died on camera.
The blue 70 t-bird is not terrable. Well worn interior and no motor/trans. Owner is putting the 429 in his fully custom 71 mustang.
