I bought a new die grinder to replace my old Sears unit that gave up the ghost.

I bought the Makita GD0800C 1/4-Inch Die Grinder from Amazon. It does great. I got the Astro Pneumatic 2181 Double Cut Carbide Rotary Burr Set with 1/4-Inch Shank with it.

I used it today to elongate the holes in the Jeep winch mount bumper I bought my son for his birthday and it worked great.

The metal was about 1/4 inch thick and the tool and bit went thru it like butter, well almost like butter.

Very nice. Those burr's ar worth every penny. The one i bought 20 years ago (far left in your set) is almost as sharp as new. One or two more for aluminum and you'll be set.

TTT

Bowties are for Pee-wee Herman. "Chevy": even the name sounds cheap, but not as cheap as your Pontiac will be with an LS transplant.
