Not Pontiac but...
Have any of you tried any of the headlight restoration kits for plastic lenses? Success?

My 96 Silverado lights look pretty dull. Some of that is from the outside. Hard to tell if any is on the inside.

What I use and have had good luck with is just good old rubbing compound. Just what you would use to polish your paint. I have a 94 Chev 1 ton with the same problem as well as any other car with plastic headlight lenses. You can go over them with some 2000 grit paper and then polish. I think next time I am going to scuff mine with 800 or 1200 grit and spray them with 3 or 4 coats of clear just to see how long it lasts.

I never used the kits for restoring lights. I had some Meguires "plastic polish" laying around that I had bought to clean up a plastic convertible top window. I figured I'd try it on my 71' GTO's original tail light lenses, and they looked like brand new when I was done.
