I was wondering about the Summit brand paint because the price is very good so I decided to give it a shot on the Grand Prix. I was just looking for a driver quality job to get the thing out of primer. I went with the good 2K primer which I really liked. It went on very nice, built up very good, and was easy to sand. I used the single stage paint kit which was about $100.00. I am very impressed by the product. It sprayed very well and the results are much better than I expected. I did some searching and it appears that it's made by Sherwin Williams which is what I've been using for the past few years anyway.

I've been considering using them on the 50 chevy project...i'll be doing simple black and white and was thinking something even fancier, but it's hard to ignore their prices.

That looks great. I may go that route for my 62 Tempest 4 door sedan project.

I've been thinking about making my first painting project, my Truck. the paint on that thing is in terrible shape, was neglected by previous owners. (almost as if never been waxed and rarely washed)

I'll probably look into these Summit paints as well.

Car looks great Mike!
