Hello,

Could someone tell me the best set of plugs to use with this application. I also need to know what a good gap is to start with. Thanks...Rich

Thanks...I picked some up today...this might sound dumb but they look kinda short...they don't go down in the head as much as the AC Delco's I pulled out (R45TSX) Is this OK

THere's a really interesting topic posted somewhere(manufacturers website) that lists the CR and corresponding plug gap.But CRS has taken over.

Your engine had the wrong plugs in there if you pulled out an R45TSX.

That's a late model tapered seat plug,meant for .060" gaps.

The '69 heads use a gasket seat plug,like the NGK plug Bill mentioned.

Pontiac did'nt go to the tapered seat plugs till '72 & up.

So no,the new plugs you have wont hurt anything,in fact they'll help.

That tapered seat plug was likely hanging out further into the chamber,and allowing carbon to build up on the threads and such.
