None of the vinyl cleaners I have tried work very well.My steering wheel is quite grimy. What do you folks recommend? While I'm at it. The car wax I've been using doesn't last more than a few weeks. Again what do you folks use?

For wax, been using this. Pretty good, no chance of getting hot and baking on, no white residue, smells nice:

For interior, i use simplegreen and a nylon bristled knucklebrush. Also have had great luck with some cleaner the wife has, but damned if i can't remember the name now.

I use this product for a lot of different cleaning. Vinyl, painted surfaces, windows, oxidation, chemicals, in the house, cars, tractors. Seems to be pretty universal and has a nice smell. About the only thing I have found it will not work on is tar or rubber compound stuck on a back quarter panel. Advantage20x...When I started using it 10 yrs ago the company did training for youth to get out of the inner city into their sales program, which I thought was neat. Now you can buy it online. We use it a lot.

I do not know of a wax that stands out from other brands either. Jay

Thanks for the input. I'll try purple power which I have, and simple green this weekend.
