I have an adjustable vac can on my distributor and need the proper adj. procedure for setting timing. How many and which direction should the hex be turned ? I have a basic near stock cam . I would like to just get it so it runs and starts the best . Not really having any specific problem but just wonder if it can be better . Thanks for any help >

In advances timing, out retards. Go 2 turns per test, 5 either way bottoms it out if it is centered. Start with 10 at idle with vac unplugged. Or if you have a good timing light, 32 full mech advance with engine speeded up, then 40-45 degrees with the engine speeded to full advance with vac hooked up.

Or in 2 turns per test drive til it has slight preignition, then out two turns final setting as per moroso instructions. Jay
