Many years ago this was my goal...I admired all the cars and guys that were in this club..Is this still active? I need to gather up a few timeslips...I have a couple crappy videos and pictures..I may have a few witnesses that can vouch for the performance...It currently runs 125mph plus in the QTR with a 308 gear at 3710 lbs with a 466...

Its amazing how much has changed over the years as far as performance parts..especially the head/cam packages..If one is getting 500hp from a 455 build...many ask why so low..times have changed!

500 hp combo is not all that difficult these days with aftermarket heads, etc.

I enjoyed this statement regarding 500 hp by Ken Crocie.....

Ernie--the 1 to 1 Club exists. However, there has not been a sole seeking recognition in several years now. The requirements remain the same, however, the judges haven't been called on to assess any engine for years now and I can't count on them to judge anything anymore. Most likely, I'll be the sole judge making the decision.

BTW, the last person who wanted recognition, as I recall, was a guy with a hopped up 301. After due consideration the 301 became an eligible engine for 1 to 1 recognition. Despite this big change, as I personally don't consider the little 301 to be a classic Pontiac V8, the person making all the commotion never bothered to support his contention that his 301 deserved recognition.

Get the evidence to me and we'll go from there.

That's impressive..Dave Bisschop figures mine is in the 610 to 620 hp range once I get it fully tuned.Pump gas,13 inches of vacuum at 900 rpm idle.Car has done the 1/8 the mile in 6.9 at 100mph
