Hello Everyone,

Earlier tonight I went to park my 2016 Chrysler 300 and when I put it from drive to park when almost felt like the knob had dislocated. I may have been a litter hard with it. It would not go out of park at first, then would move to other gears but not smoothly was all over. Any ideas? Simple fix or call the dealership?

Any Idea , Suggestions would be appreciated,

Thanks,

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.

This is some kind of spam, but i can't figure out the intent. Is it to get clicks over to cnet? Because that is the real cnet, not a spam or phishing link. To get clicks to the "product video" link?

Check the bell crank and shift linkage under the dash, the cable crimps, and at the trans lever.
The shift interlock soliniod may be gumed up with spilled coffee or soda, or defective.

I have seen this problem before, this is what you need to do. Get in the car, straddle the center console, and lower yourself down on to the gear selector. Start bouncing up and down and wiggling side to side and front to back. When you've decided you have had enough of that nonsense and want to start acting like a man, get out of the vehicle and go find yourself a Pontiac.

I was a Toyota tec for decades.
I lost count of how many people had Nissan questions and said "well it's the same thing".
It's like saying Portuguese and Spanish is the same language.

If the original post is legit, maybe this person should get off their computer and get under the hood to see what they can see.

"I didn't find the right solution from the internet.", tells me they don't want to do the hard work....troubleshooting. The internet is great to get you pointed in the right direction, but sometimes you just have to dig in.
