Frame rail forward of driver's rear wheel where frame seems to be tied together at lift point is rusted through and creaking. Any way to repair? Thank you.

In my opinion, anything steel can be fixed.

If there is a section of the frame that is rusted through, a section can be cut out and a new section welded up into place. This is not a job for a DIYer. This should be done by a shop that routinely does quality restoration and fabrication work. It requires more skill than just welding up steel plates to it. If the frame is boxed a new box of the same dimension should be welded in.
