My 79 had some rough spots on its "lips" and "tail feathers"- I had my local paint shop whip me up some touch up charcoal, some clear and sand-able primer. This was prepared last fall and ran out of nice weather so almost a year later I'm on it. I really could have used another can of charcoal, but- I wanted it to blend with the car as-is, not stick out like a diamond in a goats ass, and I am happy with the results.

First I wipe everything down with this

Here's the tail. I wasn't originally going to do this part, but had more paint than needed for just the front, but not quite enough for both front and rear, but made it work. This was very faded and you could see the spiderwebs through the paint. hard to get that to show up in the picts

You can see the residue from the last Trans Am decal ( which I did not have on) but this was very helpful in placement of the new

Nice work!

Bowties are for Pee-wee Herman. "Chevy": even the name sounds cheap, but not as cheap as your Pontiac will be with an LS transplant.
