A lot of us on this site are street machine guys that occasionally hit the track just to see what our combos will do. Pretty awesome seeing those pump gas Pontiac's nowadays like yours getting it done! 9's NA on pump gas and a HR cam! Nice! Any videos of your ride at the strip?

I race mostly at nostalgia events (4-5 a year) and do other special event races.

I run in a DOT classes usually, since my car is street legal with exhaust, etc.

69 GTO

467ci, 350cfm E-heads, 10:1, comp solid roller 254/260@0.050 0.673 lift, forged rotating assembly, Kauffman northwind port matched intake, Holley 850, Msd, Dougs headers.

Autogear drag special wide ratio 4 speed backed by GM 12 bolt with 3.90s. 28" tall x 9" wide tire.

Only have 5 passes on this setup in bad air and bad traction and ran 11.55 @ 119.7.

Here are two of the five passes:

That was with CV-1 canted valve heads (back when I was doing R & D work for Roland), pump gas and a hyd roller.

I enjoyed drag racing a street car back in the 80's.
But sadly, with the med's i must take and shot out reflexes, I've decided not to put others at risk.

Although this fall when the weather brakes, I will try and pass the torch on to my oldest daughter if she shows interest.
