Howdy Bill, and everyone!

For those that don't know me (most of you, probably), my old 67 Firebird is on the Torque Power section of this site. We never got around to updating the page, but it was an iron-headed pump-gas DOT radial, 3.42 geared street car that ran 11.27 @ 119.6mph just a few weeks before I sold it - a bit over 10 years ago.

I've helped with several Pontiac projects since then, but did not have a Pontiac of my own during the last decade. That changed a couple weeks ago. I had another project car that I was trying to sell, and was made an offer I could not pass up!

It is a '73 Firebird, low miles, and the previous owner started converting it into a Trans Am. It looks pretty darned nice, but the stock 350 is WAYYYYYY less than acceptable to me. I'll rectify that situation, but it will probably be next year before I make serious power improvements.

I'll check in periodically, but for now here is my new project:

CURRENT: '73 T/A clone, boring at the moment...
67 Firebird (sold) 11.27 @ 119.6 Feb. '05 issue HPP
69 Falcon wagon, 10.51 @ 130mph Feb. '10 issue PHR (sold)
72 Cutlass Convertible, first car, owned since '82, now with a 6.0 LS, mild, putting just under 400 hp/tq to the wheels.

Welcome back Lee. I'm glad you were made and offer you couldn't refuse.

Lee is a long time member of the Torque Power section. His former Firebird, gone but not forgotten, is still on display. http://www.pontiacstreetperformance.com/psp/rebuild45500.html

Excellent 73! Are those Wheel Vintiques? Year One Rally's?

Bowties are for Pee-wee Herman. "Chevy": even the name sounds cheap, but not as cheap as your Pontiac will be with an LS transplant.

Thanks guys! Phil, they are the Year One Rally's, staggered (8" front 9" rear). Tires are Nittos, 235/50 and 255/50, so they have a decent amount of sidewall. An old Pontiac buddy was over a few days ago, and didn't even realize the wheels were 17" at first :-)
