I went on an extensive search for a new radiator for the blue car.
It looked like The summit radiator was cost effective and the reviews were, well, just OK @ $307.

I called Car Quest, They had a modern replacement 2 row list price @ 199.
My bud behind the counter got it down to $156.

Its a modern hi efficiency aluminum core with plastic tanks.
The tube count for the tightly packed 2 row is 84.
The tube count for the (guessing) factory 3 row is 81.
So not only are the tubes much wider, there are also more of them.

I did have to trim the shroud in two small areas. After market shroud. Other than that, the radiator fits perfectly in the rubber isolators. And into the core support.

Yes, its not suitable for a full on restoration. But for a garden variety Driver like mine, it fits the bill.

Forgot to mention Car Quest LIFE TIME guarantee.

And Cort, you don't have to paint the tanks.

If I could get that radiator, and it included a SW 629,I wouldn't bother talking the guy down in price.

I'm selling my beater. I'll keep that in mind.

Being its a No A/C car, it should keep cool in any part of the country.
