Time to put the 461 into the 68 Bird. Do you guys suggest Mity Mounts or the SS poly units?

I used the mighty mounts for my 461. They allow for more movement than I like, but they are holding up ok. The driver side mount appears to have bent some. Not much though

Are you opposed to solid mounts? I've been running solids in my GTO for about 5 years and don't notice any difference in vibration to when I ran an elastomeric engine mount.

Do you just drive casually or hammer on it much?

The car will be driven pretty easy, with hammer down once in awhile. I am leaning towards the poly mounts. I do appreciate everyone's input

Sounds like a good choice. Best of luck!

I was not impressed with my set of mity mounts. Ultra soft steal construction and engine set cocked in the engine compartment until tail stock of trans was pulled over into position and mounted. Part store replacement mounts should be fine.

I bought some stock mounts and filled the air gaps with tiger seal. It's a polyeurethane filler. They seem fine, and much cheaper!
