 No serial number on my 77 400 trans-am

I don't see any serial number on my original 77 q-jet carb on my car, the car was bought new by my father back in 77, so I don't have any number to call carb kit or parts.

If the carb is indeed an original '77, you can get the carb numbers on the Wallace site. Type in 1977 on the year line, 400 on the engine line, and 4 on the BBL line.

It shows that there were only 3 different numbers used. All except the W72 engines used a 17057274. The W72 with a 4-speed was 17057263. And the W72 with an auto was a 17057266.


Does your carb look like those shown in the links below ? From all the pics I've seen, that's what a '77 Pontiac Q-jet looks like. Hope that helps.

No carb number needed, I can put a kit together for any carburetor, even if I just have a pic of it.

You will also find that our kits are superior and more complete than anything else out there, I've spent a lot of timing making sure of it....Cliff
