As requested Mike--A Grand Prix forum. I'll make the first post....

My first GP was a Red 1976 with a 400. It wasn't fast, but sure turned heads. My dad bought it from me when my TA arrived in May 1979. He kept it until 1986. It ran great and only needed a water pump and AC service during that 10-year span. It was quite comfortable to drive and was great on the highway.

I sold the 73 and bought a 71 which is pretty much stock, and I also bought a 1986 1/2 2+2 Aerocoupe which is also stock with 32,000 miles.

My first GP was a 69. 428, TH400, Vaccumm Door locks, pwr windows and seats, tilt, cruise, black on blue w/black leather interior. What I would give to have that one back. 2nd GP was a red 70. Never liked that car. 3rd GP was a 73. Had to be the ugliest GP ever. 4th GP was a 76 white w/red interior. BEAUTIFUL!!! Got repoed. 5th GP was a black on black w/black interior. Never cared for the stacked headlights. 6th GP was an 82 with the 4.1L engine. That car ran great for a v6. Blew a heater hose while the wife was driving it and cracked the heads. I now have a 65 sitting waiting for a restoration. In case you had'nt noticed, I love GP's. Just never got interested in the fwd cars.

My first car was a 1971 GP. 400/400 and it was a pretty darn fast car. Matter of fact, it was one of two of the fastest cars at Parma Sr. High in 81-82. The other was a 70 Chevelle but we never raced. I've had 7 GP's over the years and I love them. Presently have a 73 which was originally a 455 car.

I had a 67 GP in the mid 70's Great car except fot the black vinyl roof. I think the car came from the sunbelt. The black vinyl was shredded and strips kept pealing back and blowing in the wind.

My 2nd and 3rd cars were GP's (first was a GTO). 1st one was a beater 73' I picked up back around 83'. Had the usual midwestern rust. I asked the seller what it had and he replied a 350 2 barrel. I saw 1 tailpipe too. Took it for a quick spin and handed the guy the $200. When I got it home I wiped the underhood sticker off and "400 cu. in" was written on it. Popped the aircleaner off to find it had a Quadrajet. Looked underneath to find dual exhaust too (one tailpipe was missing!) Turned out to be a great reliable car for me,and kinda quick for the boat it was.
2nd GP was a 76' SJ. I was driving to my friends house and noticed the seller had just parked it in his yard with a for sale sign in it. Triple black,455,Quadrajet,converted to dual exhaust (no factory duals on 76's). Factory tach, gauges,I think every option available that year. The next day and $1800 later it was mine! Pretty good condition too. This was one of the most comfortable and reliable cars I've ever owned. I owned it till rust ate it to the point that I had to scrap it. Man I wish I had that[ car back!
